Later, Siringo saw Hunt talking to Shore off to the side while he sat at the fire with Holden.

“What are them two plannin’?” Holden asked.

“I don’t know,” Siringo said. “All I know is, you and me along with some other men are gonna have to grab those cattle.”

“What other men?”

“That’s what we’re gonna find out,” Siringo said. “And soon.”

“I don’t like it,” Holden said. “Hunt’s reachin’ way too far.”

“I guess that’s just somethin’ else we’re gonna have to wait and see.”
