‘You’d know that if you were here.’

‘Keith, I had to come back.’

‘Did you? Or did you choose your job over us again?’

‘I had to come back. Can I talk to them?’

‘I don’t think so.’

‘You’re going to refuse to let me speak to my daughters?’

‘If you insist, I’ll pass the phone over. But I’ve just settled them. I can’t see how talking to the person who abandons them on a regular basis is going to help.’

‘And you don’t even fight for them.’

‘I can’t do this now, Keith. I’ll talk to you soon.’

‘Great. We can start arguing about next weekend.’
