Chapter SEVEN
TIM WAS fine.
Fine.
Fine, dammit!
Even though he was shaking up a storm in Jaeâs guest shower, getting blasted by lukewarm water, he was fine.
His blood glucose levels, checked with Jaeâs supervision, were in normal range. The burns were minor first-degree achy dots that would annoy him for a couple of days, but there wasnât any permanent damage.
Tim called safeword, and Jae stopped. Instantly, immediately, there was no coercion, no very unDom-like whining.
And yet Tim couldnât stop shaking.
The guest bathroom was nicely supplied, clean towels and washcloths, a brand new bottle of yummy-smelling bath gel, a much too large for him robe hanging on the back of the door. Tim didnât know whether this was the standard guest room setup or if Jae was taking that whole âtrying to impress the new submissiveâ thing way too far, but it did make him smile a bit.
Now if only his stupid hands would quit trembling.
He was safe, far away from Atlanta and the very real, very unwanted pain and the fear of dying. No one was judging him and finding him and his âquirksâ lacking. Even if he was scared shitless in the moment when the heat felt like too much and that brought him close to a flashback and the mother of all panic attacks, he was safe. He was fine.
Fine.
The bottle of gel tumbled out of his hands and crashed on the floor with a loud thump, squirting a glob of green citrus-scented goo over Timâs calves and the bottom of the tub.
âTim?â Jae called from the other side of the door, and the door suddenly opened and Jae was there, pulling the shower curtain open at the same time Tim got to his knees to pick up the bottle. With that, Timâs humiliation was complete. âAre you alright?â
One part of Tim that was actually normal, if a bit twisted, wanted more than anything for Jae to take advantage of his kneeling position, order him to unzip those wax-dotted slacks and just⦠just⦠hell, if he could just hold the other manâs cock in his mouth, allow him to act like a normal submissive, heâd be happy. But the concern on Jaeâs face sent that want packing.
Oh right, he thought, Doms need aftercare just as much as submissives. Iâm sure those words have come out of my mouth to a customer once or twice.
âIâm alright.â He motioned to the bottle unable to even start to feel shy about Jae seeing him in the shower with no clothes on. âJust klutzing around with the shower gel. Iâm thinking juggling just isnât my strong suit.â
âNerves or sugar?â
âIâm sure itâs nerves this time.â One more cup of OJ, and Tim swore heâd turn into an orange.
Jaeâs hand in his hair was a comforting gesture so natural that Tim didnât even realize Jaeâd put it there until his own body started to relax, the shakes abating. Tim had to resist the urge to lean his wet head on Jaeâs thigh and sigh. Whatever it was about the man that made everything better with the slightest touch, Tim didnât know.
