The next morning when I woke up, JoJo sent me a message telling me to meet him at his cabin. For some reason I was excited but I would never let him know that. I soaked in nice smelling bath oils and changed into a fitted green and gold spaghetti maxi dress. I put my curls half up and half down with a touch of makeup on my face. I headed out my door and saw Ry on my way out.

“Ok sexy! You found a boo?” She giggled.

“I gotta find me someone…I’m stuck around swinging dicks all day and can’t even use them.” She burst out laughing.

“I can’t with you.” We walked into the elevator.

“How was it with Richmond?” That was our code name for Richie.

“It was really good, it had been so long since we made love and it was so intense. I really do love him.” I smiled at her.

“How is your chemistry when you make love?”

“Hmm, how can I explain it…it’s beyond dynamic like I feel like a bunch of fireworks just set with a gigantic ka-boom.”

“Well goddamn!” I laughed.

“It’s that intense girl!” I gave her a sad smile, I wish I could tell her about me and JoJo but I felt too scared that she would ask me how I felt about him and that was something I didn’t want to analyze…ever!

When the elevator doors opened, we went our separate ways. I saw Jamal sitting by the door reading a magazine.

“Looking good Zuri!” Rebecca giggled. I smiled at her as Roxanne rolled her stank ass eyes. I decided to give her a show and placed my hand on my hip.

“You think so? Don’t flatter me.”

“Stop it, I’m not flattering you. You got a date?”

“I wish, maybe I’ll find me someone around the town.” We both laughed. I turned and saw Jamal looking me up and down. I forced a smile on my face, just act like nothing happened last night I told myself. I didn’t want it to be awkward between us. “Hey Jamal.”

“Hey, you’re heading out now?”

“Yup, I can finally enjoy the summer. Oh yeah how is Mel by the way? How much longer until she comes back?” He looked down and cleared his throat.

“She still has some time…” I furrowed my eyebrows but decided to leave it alone. He did a knock code on the door and it opened. I noticed Devin and Harold staring at me, I just hoped I had this same effect on JoJo. I got in the car and Larry headed into the town.

I waved to Larry as he drove off. I bought myself an iced tea and went to call Kevin until someone grabbed my wrist. I quickly turned around to kick them but my leg was grabbed and I was pulled into a hard body. Once I focused my eyes I noticed it was JoJo.

“You know there is a better way to greet a woman!” I snapped he laughed and gave me a big hug. “JoJo, we’re out in public.
