Now that you’re finally gone, I can tell you how I really feel (and don’t give me shit about waiting until you’re gone to tell you). I am pissed! How could you move to Colorado and leave me two thousand miles behind? I can’t believe you’re gone. I’m glad I didn’t help you load up your van and I hope it breaks down in the middle of nowhere and you see what an idiotic mistake you’re making and you turn around and COME HOME where you belong. Nicky, I don’t even care that we’re not lovers anymore—don’t flatter yourself—six months is long enough to get over anyone. Nicky, you’re my friend, and I need you here. New York just isn’t the same without you.

Now that I’ve gotten that off my buxom, hairy chest—how are you? I bet Athena is happy to be out of the city, poor puppy. Make sure she wears her seatbelt!

Your plants are fine (I know it’s only been two hours, but you know how I am with plants). I don’t know what I’m going to do today, maybe take a walk up to Central Park, or maybe catch a movie. There’s a dance tonight, but I doubt I’ll go—who would I dance with? You spoiled everything by being such a good dancer, you know that? Maybe (and I’ll only admit this because by now you’re at least a hundred miles away) maybe I’m not completely over you.
