1. Hermann Wilhelm Göring (1893–1946) was a German politician, military leader and leading member of the Nazi Party. An ace fighter pilot in the First World War, he was awarded the coveted “Blue Max”. When Hitler took power in 1933, he became second-in-command. He founded the Gestapo and was appointed commander-in-chief of the Luftwaffe. In 1946, Göring was convicted of war crimes at Nuremberg and sentenced to death by hanging, but committed suicide beforehand.

2. Sir Geoffrey George Knox (1884‒1958) was an Australian/British diplomat. President of the Saar Commission and later British Ambassador to Hungary and Brazil.
