By the time I get home, Farrow has fallen asleep reading on the sofa. Her book is tented on her chest and she looks extremely peaceful. Taking off my shoes, I tiptoe into the kitchen and make myself a sandwich. Once all the layers are in place, I sit at the table and prop my head up with my hands. Today has been stressful, and I don't know how I will come out of this without anyone getting hurt. If Farrow were awake, she would know something was wrong and we could talk about it. How did it turn into this?

I no longer have an appetite, so I wrap my sandwich in plastic wrap and tuck it into the fridge until tomorrow. Walking back into the living room, I sit in the armchair across from my wife and I watch her sleep.

I can't help but feel the guilt from this. I could have prevented it long ago. I don't know how to stop it now. I don't want everyone to lose their jobs, and I don't want to lose my wife. I would never do that to Farrow! I need to call a lawyer. I need to call Parker. Do I have to tell Farrow? Yeah of course I do! She needs to know so she's not taken aback by it if it becomes public.

Son of a bitch.

My eyes stay focused on my beautiful wife as various scenarios play out in my head. I fall into a light sleep hours later with my head resting in my hand and my right ankle propped up on my left knee.

“Baby, wake up.”

Farrow's voice wakes me from my restless sleep. Opening my eyes, the haze melts away and all I see is her smile. This is going to devastate her.

“Good morning, babe,” I whisper and stroke her cheek. Closing her eyes, she leans into my hand and smiles. She's so beautiful.

“Morning. Why did you sleep in the chair?” she asks as she climbs onto my lap and rests her head on my shoulder.

“I love you.” I remind her and kiss the top of her head. She's supposed to be stress free so I want to protect her as much as I can, I can't let her know about what went down with Tabitha yesterday. I wish I wasn't aware of it.

“I love you too, Kasen.” She sighs and I snuggle in deeper. “When do you have to be on set?”

I scrub my face with my free hand and look at my watch. “In a couple of hours. I'm shooting with Mya today! I really can't wait!”

“She's adorable and Cassie is amazing. Thank you for giving her something, those two really have nothing left. Everything they had paid for the services.”

This makes me feel even guiltier. I tell Tabitha to stop and everything stops, including income for this family. Mya's future. Everything. “I know, babe,” I murmur and turn my head away from Farrow.

“Hey,” she questions and turns my head back to her with a finger.
