The Most Wonderful State For Women

Captain Andrea Troi was proud of the small ship she now led. She had earned the title through the deaths of the previous commander and captain, but nevertheless it felt good to give orders and stand at the bow of the bridge. The dark haired, olive skinned, 36 year old instructed an ensign to continue on their route and then sat down in the captain's chair.

They were scouting potential routes for supply ships to maneuver through this part of the galaxy to avoid alien detection. The war with the aliens had been going on for almost a year. The Earth Coalition had been doing well against their foes, but they seemed to send an endless amount of soldiers after them at each turn. While the aliens were more reptilian in form, these soldiers looked humanoid in all latex, with only small slots for the eyes and mouth, from head to toe. They were merciless and the cause of much death amongst The Coalition.

Coalition scientists could not figure out what they were. No human would join up with their enemies, surely? The few that had been brought back for dissection had a bit of a alien DNA incorporated in them. Had they been human experiments? Before any questions could be asked, the one captured alive rammed her head into a wall until brain dead.

She would personally find the answer to her question soon enough. The supply route they were on right now looked promising. Troi sat back in her chair. While half listening to the ensign at the helm calling out details about their path and its promise she caught up on drafts of mission briefs which would be sent back to the Coalition. It had been a long few days for them. They were short staffed and trying to get by with what means they had at the moment.

Suddenly the Ensign turned around to get her attention. Mariska Galloway was a fresh faced soldier just out of the Earth Coalition's school system. She was tan and quite busty underneath her snug uniform. Short hair brought out her stunning facial features. Captain Troi found herself attracted to the Ensign. The Coalition certainly did not forbid romances on their ships.

That would, she thought with a smile, have to wait until later. “Report, Ensign.” Andrea smiled at how authoritative she sounded when speaking to her officers. Hopefully that excited young Mariska.

Mariska turned around in her chair. “Ma'am, there is an alien ship a few minutes away from our current position. It only showed up in my scans a moment ago.” She nodded at another bridge officers comment that it could have been cloaked. “Yes, likely it was cloaked. It does,” the beautiful Ensign began, turning back towards her station, “seem to be abandoned though, Sir.”

Captain Troi thought for a moment. “I do not recall hearing about a battle in this sector?” She asked it like a question out of her own ignorance. “Perhaps there was an emergency?” They should investigate the ship for sure.
