• Assign accounting principles to ledger groups: In the last step, you will assign accounting principles to ledger groups. You can reach the configuration screen by following IMG menu path: Financial Accounting (New) → General Ledger Accounting (New) → Periodic Processing → Valuate → Assign Valuation Areas and Accounting Principles

• Account determination: You need to define revenue and expense accounts that need to be posted while running account foreign currency valuation. While valuating open items, the system makes postings to a balance sheet adjustment account and to a foreign exchange unrealized gain/ loss account. You can set account determinations based on valuation areas. If want to use the same account for all valuation areas, leave the valuation area field blank. IMG menu path: Financial Accounting (New) → General Ledger Accounting (New) → Periodic Processing → Valuate → Foreign Currency Valuation → Prepare Automatic Postings for Foreign Currency Valuation
