Sitting positions

Practicing the static Qigong , it is possible to take the one of following sitting positions:

- Lotus (fig.2);

- Semi-lotus (fig.3);

- With crossed legs (in Turkish) (fig.4);

- Sitting on stool (fig.5).

The static exercises of soft Qigong

Exercise 1

The direct breathing by belly (fig.6-8)

Initial position: lotus position, with crossed legs or seating on the stool. Make slow deep inhalation through the nose. Mentally follow Qi flow from the tip of nose to abdominal cavity (low Dantian). Belly is maximally thrown out and fully filled with air.

Make the breath-holding. At first it is necessary to hold breath for the short period of time. You must not feel the lack of air or discomfort.

Exhale through the mouth slowly. Mentally follow the air and Qi flow. Exhalation must be full, belly must be retracted.

Make the breath-holding.

It is the one breathing cycle.

This exercise must be executed every day for 15 - 30 minutes during no less than 3 months.
