“I want you too.” Sage moved against his groin.

Dear God, she was going to be his undoing.

But what a way to come undone.

His fingers edged to the bottom of her shirt, desperate to touch her. To kiss her. He wanted to claim her and drive the words for now from her vocabulary. It was a new sensation for him.

Holt had had a few semiserious girlfriends. Nothing felt like the need he had around Sage. The burning ache to protect her, to right all the wrongs life had dealt her.

Sage’s fingers ran across his belly, and she lifted the shirt over his head. “You are so beautiful.” Her lips spread as she ran her nails over his chest.

If he wasn’t so turned-on, he could sit there for forever letting her admire him.

Lifting her shirt, he unhooked her bra, then dropped the clothes to the floor. “You’re the beauty.” The words were hoarse as she shifted her hips against him. Had he ever needed someone so bad?

Her skin was like silk under his hands, their bodies remembering the touches they’d liked. And discovering new ones.

Her hands wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer as her breasts brushed against his chin. Holt gripped her hips as she molded herself to him. “Sage.”

Her head fell back, and he trailed kisses down her throat. Reckless abandon chased at his heels. He looked at the kitchen table, the idea of pushing their plates from the table and taking her there materializing and then evaporating.

Mostly because he knew Domino would investigate the crumbs. And he planned to savor every moment with Sage.

“Sage.”

“Mmm-hmm.” Her voice was soft as she slipped her hands between their bodies, unbuttoning his pants and sliding the zipper down. Her hand grazed him. The flimsy hold he had on his self-control cracking but not breaking.

Not yet.

“I want you.” He captured one ripe nipple in his mouth, drinking in her taste and the need flowing through her. “Let me take you to bed,” he breathed as he kissed his way to her other nipple.

“I was supposed to seduce you tonight.” Her bottom lip slipped out as she pulled his face to hers and trailed kisses down his chin. “I wanted to drive you mad.”

Her hips rocked against his groin, and he grabbed her hand, kissing her fingers. “Mission accomplished, honey! I need you, Sage. Just you.”

“Then take me to bed, Holt.”

Holding her tightly, he stood, and she wrapped her legs around him. Her hands danced through his hair as her mouth captured his, claiming him. If it were possible for steam to rise from his body, the room would be filled.

The walk to Sage’s room was less than twenty feet, but it felt like forever before he dropped her on the bed. Before she could reach for him, he stripped her shorts and panties. She lay before him, naked and glorious.

“Holt.” Sage grinned as she ran her hand along her nipple, circling the bud with her finger.

He let out a soft breath, enjoying the show.
