A crucial spark that lit the fire of revival occurred when a young man named Evan Roberts prayed with a small group of young people after a service. He felt the Lord challenging them to do the following:

1. You must put away any unconfessed sin.

2. You must put away any doubtful habit.

3. You must obey the Spirit promptly.

4. You must confess Christ publicly.7
