âWhereâs your little girlfriend Reynoldâs? I hear she gives good head.â
Itâs our second game of the season, and my team is winning 2-1 with just under five minutes to go. I canât let these douchebags break my concentration.
I fake a pass to my left before flicking the puck to Coulter on the right wing. I let the momentum carry me into the douchebagâs chest, knocking him into the plexiglass with a hard thud.
If last yearâs incident taught me anything, itâs not to let assholes like our opponents get under my skin. Theyâre only words, just like Teaganâs mom said.
Not one to take a hint, Fisher skates next to me with his buddy Davis next to him.
âHere she comes. Maybe Iâll ask her how many dicks she had to suck to get picked for the menâs team.â Fisher nods and looks at a spot over my shoulder to where Teagan is. Thereâs no way she didnât hear his disgusting comment.
âThat would be three dicks, Fisher. Four if you count your momâs,â Teagan says, taking all of us by surprise, stealing the puck from Davis and skating away with a smirk.
âThat bitch!â Fisherâs face turns bright red. His jaw begins to tick, his eyes following Teagan as she makes a play on his teamâs goalie and scores yet another goal for our team.
Damn, sheâs good. Thereâs no way we are going to lose the Championship with her on our team.
âWhat was that all about?â Fin asks, skating up behind me.
âNothing Teagan canât handle.â I smile, thinking about the look on Fisherâs face at her quick comeback. âCome on, we have a game to win.â
The rest of the game is uneventful except for Fisher refusing to shake hands with our team after they lost.
âHuddle up, everyone. Youâre lucky they played sloppy, or we wouldnât have pulled out a win.â I snap my eyes at Greg. I hate that heâs the acting head coach while Coach Johnson is off with his wife and new baby. At least it will only be for a few days, not forever, or I would have to transfer colleges.
What Greg is saying is bullshit. Teagan destroyed their defense, scoring all three of our teamâs goals. My gaze lands on Fin and Coulter, and I see the same anger at Gregâs words in their eyes.
Greg and I havenât seen eye to eye since I first came to State College, and last year didnât help matters.
âDonât forget tomorrowâs practice is early. We have been invited by one of the owners of the Minnesota Norse to watch their game from the ownerâs box.â
The Minnesota Norse is an up-and-coming Pro hockey team in town, and it is my first choice to play for professionally. Tomorrow will be the perfect opportunity to make a good impression on the owner.
âOkay, ladies, itâs time to hit the showers.â Gregâs condescending voice rings through the arena.
I watch as Teagan skates to the other side of the arena, where the womenâs locker room is located. I have a
