“This food taste like shit,” Lenny said as he threw the takeout container in the trash next to the dresser. He was so pissed. That bitch is probably eating good food and sleeping in a soft bed, while I’m holed up in this shit-hole motel in a hick town. He had to stay where no one would bother to look for him.

There was one lousy restaurant, one gas station, a general store, and this rat infested motel he had been stuck in. There wasn’t even a goddamn bar he could go get a drink in. Lenny was in need of a fix, and he would do anything to find a local drug dealer here. He knew he’d be shit-out-of-luck in that department. His funds were running low. The last car he stole had just enough gas to get him to this town. Now he had to figure out a way to get new wheels and some money so he could move on.

Tomorrow wouldn’t come soon enough to move on. One more stinking day was all he could take. He was close enough to Buffalo and to that bitch that had gotten him into this predicament in the first place.
