First Aid supplies
These are critical. That is also why I have this in the barter section. Many people don't consider this and it is a great element to get needed supplies with. Accidents happen and in the event of a disaster you'll need to be able to help with injuries. You can get hydrogen peroxide and Isopropyl alcohol from most discount stores for as little as a dollar per bottle. I suggest getting at least 10 bottles for storage. Start with 2 and make your goal 10 or more. They are excellent for bartering with. Gauge and tape are needed as well. Don't scrimp here as you will need items to be safe. If you can get some sort of triage first aid book, add it to your supply.
Buy a radio that can be hand charged so it is not dependent on batteries. This will keep you in touch with emergency services. If you can't afford that type of radio, get the regular kind and rotate batteries so they are fresh and will last.
Do you or anyone in the family have medical problems that require daily medication? This can be dangerous as you need to be able to look after the medical needs of this person on a daily basis. See what kind of stock piling can be done. If its diabetes you may be able to lower your sugar with some regular exercise and watching your diet. In times like these there is no room for not following diet advice for your health. There probably won’t be much junk food around anyway. That’s always my downfall.
One of the best medications and natural healers you can have in your supplies are activated charcoal capsules. If you are bitten by a spider you can apply it to the wounds and ingest orally for infection protection. If you have not heard about this incredible product, look it up online right away. It is a terrific antibiotic and medicinal salve. You can mix it with Flaxseed oil and apply it as a salve directly on burns of stings and bites. Amazing results, you'll see. Again, here are some of the products I mentioned. Just click the link below.
