19 Draw matching nasolabial folds (smile lines). They start at the tops of the nose wings and head toward the corners of the mouth, ending at the top of the beard. Carve them with the flame-shaped ruby bit held at a 45˚ angle. Round and blend sides of folds. Finish shaping the cheeks, tear ducts, and temples with the same bit.

20 Draw the mouth. Use the flame-shaped ruby bit to carve the mouth opening and lower lip. Then, draw the nostril holes and carve the main hole with a ball-shaped bit. Use a small flame-shaped bit to carve the tail that curls up under the nose wing.
