Straddling the national park boundary on the attractive plains below the moors, with spectacular views of The Roaches, this reservoir is a popular place for a walk or just to enjoy the countryside. The visitor centre is a modern building with a large car park (Charge) and a good café. Walks range from easy routes of less than three miles along the shore and through woodland, right up to the full loop (4.5 miles) around the reservoir. Bird hides and a small reserve get you close to nature, and there is a really great kids play area. On the west, the watersports centre rents out canoes, kayaks and paddleboards (book in advance online; tittesworthwater.co.uk), and offers other activities for groups and families.
