Ride the elevator up to the 10th floor to see an exact replica of the Oval Office during Johnson's presidency. Well, almost exact. This one is 7/8ths of the room's actual size. Note the photograph of Johnson's presidential inspiration, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Roosevelt appointed Johnson to be the Texas director of the National Youth Administration when Johnson was only in his twenties. The line-up of televisions is duplicated in Johnson's digs at the LBJ Ranch. One amusing artifact? Johnson's recorded phone conversation with Katharine Graham, publisher of the Washington Post. On this particular call, he lays on the charm pretty darn thick.
