Anders

“Hey, yo, Anders!” Reilly calls from the front of the station. “There’s a hot blonde here to see you.”

I drop what I’m doing to get to the front as quickly as I can. Just as I suspected, Reilly’s eyes are all over Sydney by the time I get up there. I mean, the guy’s got good taste, but I can’t have him looking at my girl like that.

“Hey,” Sydney says, her face lighting up when she sees me.

“Well, I guess that answers the question of whether I have a chance,” Reilly says good-naturedly. “Have fun, you two.”

We’d be having a hell of a lot more fun if I wasn’t in the middle of my shift.

“Ham and swiss on rye,” she says, holding up a bag.

“I’m a little more interested in who’s delivering it,” I say, pulling her tight to me for a kiss. She’s so soft against me. I just want to scoop her up, find a place where we can be comfortable, and do all sorts of dirty things with her.

A whoop behind me lets me know Reilly informed the other guys about my visitor.

I break the kiss and stroke her cheek. “You’d better come meet the boys,” I say. “They’ll just keep acting up until we pay attention to them.”

She bites her lower lip. “But I get more Anders later, right?”

I chuckle. “Baby, you get all the Anders you want.”

She looks at me with heat in her eyes and it’s all I can do not to dive in for another kiss.

I take her hand and lead her into the back.

“Guys, this is Sydney. Sydney, guys. Don’t worry about learning their names. They all respond to ‘hey you’.”

“Hi,” she says, suddenly shy. It’s adorable to see someone as pulled-together as her look nervous, and I squeeze her hand a little.

“You sure you don’t want to upgrade?” Reilly says, flexing his bicep. “Because I don’t wanna brag or nothin’, but…”

“Shut it,” I tell him. “She’s got a real man. She’s not going to trade for you.”

Suddenly the alarm goes off and we all switch into professional mode.

“Gotta go,” I tell her. “Can I call you later?”

She nods at me and I steal one more kiss before I get geared up.
