Through the narrow passages, the captain made his way to the storeroom efficiently and found a bottle of wine left from the galleon. On his return to his cabin and Justin, a strange sound met his ears. Squinting into the darkness, he could see two of his crew members in a passionate embrace. They were kissing, each with a hand down the other’s breeches. Holding back the sound of his surprised gasp, the captain backed away slowly.
When he swung open the door, Captain Jones found his pilot on the bunk with his naked Justin. In that moment, he caught Justin pushing away a caressing hand from his face.
“Pilot?”
At the sound of his master’s voice, Peckham jumped off the bunk and faced him, the absolute picture of guilt. “I was merely looking for you to advise you of the tide.”
“So, you have found me.” Not convinced in the least, he set down the bottle and moved closer to the desk, which displayed his weapons. With a heavy heart, he was beginning to think he could trust no one.
Peckham watched him move his hand to the loaded firearms slowly. “Oh, no, Richard. Please, I came only under your command.”
“Justin?” the captain asked. “What passed in my absence?”
As if catching his breath, Justin stammered as the pistol was now in his captain’s hand. “No, don’t kill anyone! Not our pilot!”
“I asked what passed!” Captain Jones growled louder as the very idea of someone handling his lover infuriated him.
“He…I…he asked me…I didn’t…” Justin could not put words together any longer, for he was trembling in mortal terror.
Peckham swallowed nervously. “Richard, I merely told Justin that I would give up my pocketful of doubloons to be in that bunk with the two of you.”
Justin hopped out of bed like a jackrabbit. He stood between the men, obviously trying to prevent any violence. “He’s telling the truth! He never harmed me! Please!”
The captain’s features softened instantly as he enjoyed the fresh, young, naked man in front of him. With a soft chuckle, he set the pistol down and scolded, “You are giving my pilot some eyeful.” He grabbed the bottle of wine and started to open it.
Peckham covered his relieved smile and shook his head at the view of Justin’s slender back, long hair, narrow hips and very tight ass. “Oh, my Captain, you are one lucky man,” he sighed.
Justin spun around in confusion. They were both laughing at him. “You don’t want to kill each other any longer? Because I am naked?”
“Go get your breeches on, lad, for I fear even I would not blame our pilot for a straying hand.” With a pop, the wine was opened. To sate his great thirst, the captain raised it and poured it down his throat.
Appearing flabbergasted, Justin turned from one to the other in total confusion, then gave up. In the dimness, he groped around the chair for his clothing and slipped on his breeches, buttoning up the front.
“Here, Pilot, you need this more than I.
