THIRTEEN

I think I’m in shock. I might be dreaming right now and I don’t want to wake up, if so. I never want to wake up if this is my dream.

Oliver kissed me outside after I cried into his chest. Grayce kissed me and wrapped those delicious thighs around me. Then they both said they wanted me and we had a three-way kiss that almost made me come right then and there without so much as a touch.

Grayce pulls me into their living room and plops down on the couch, pulling me to sit beside her as Oliver sits on the other side of me. I look at him and try to wrap my mind around what’s just happened.

I never thought I would see him again. For so long, I thought I would never get over him, but I lied to myself and told myself that I had. Then he came crashing back into my life and fucked it all up. But what if he’s fixing it instead?

I thought I had gotten over all of my feelings for him all of those years ago, but today was proof that I didn’t get over shit. I need to accept that he’s always going to be a part of me and I’ll always be a part of him.

Of course, I’m still extremely hurt by what he did to me when we were teenagers, and we need to have a serious conversation about it, but he’s still the same sweet boy that I fell in love with. He’s still my Oliver, even though he’s someone else’s Oliver now too.

He wiped my tears away and held me, whispering comforting words into my ear. He let me soak his shirt with my tears and snot while wrapping his arms around me, shielding me from the world for a little while until I could face it again.

I look on the other side of me at Grayce, who has grabbed so many blankets that I can barely see her and is cuddling into my side, picking out a movie on their TV.

For weeks, I fantasize about her like this and what we just did in the kitchen. I never thought it would come to reality though, not in a million years. She’s married, they’re both married to each other. And they want to invite me into that.

This is crazy. It has to be a dream, right? No way is this real life.

Oliver leans closer to me, putting his mouth next to my ear. “It’s not a dream, Kitty Kat. It’s very fucking real.”

Shit, I must’ve said that out loud.

He chuckles deeply, right into my ear, sending shivers down my spine. I’m not cold though. I’m fucking aching in the best possible way.

A tiny hand lands on the top of my thigh and I close my eyes before I actually explode from all of the overwhelming emotions this night has created.

Grayce jumps up suddenly, making all of the blankets that were on top of her, fall to the floor in a huge pile.
