Moving Right Along

When we went to press, no draft version of the 2019-2020 FAFSA had yet been released by the feds. So the best we could do is provide a copy of the prior version (i.e. the actual PDF 2018-2019 FAFSA) in the Sample Forms section at the back this book to help you familiarize yourself with the layout of the PDF form. We don’t anticipate any major changes to the questions asked with the new 2019-2020 FAFSA, other than changes to the applicable year or years referenced in certain questions. That is, every year listed on the 2018-2019 version will become one year later on the 2019-2020 version of the form; so 2017, for example, will become the relevant PPY year for the income and tax questions on the 2019-2020 FAFSA. We will inform you of any significant changes to the forms or rules regarding financial aid on our website (www.princetonreview.com/​financial​aidupdate). Finally, any reference to Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) in this part of the book does not include Education IRAs (which are not retirement accounts and are now more commonly called Coverdell Education Savings Accounts).
