The Relativity of the External World

Getting back to the omnijective universe, it must be understood that our minds exist in the same field that contains the objects of our investigation. Absolute distinctions of phenomena break down as we analyze matter more closely. The mind/matter dichotomy is an illusion created by our limited senses, limited perception of Self, and limited control over our environment. To the extent that science ignores these philosophical problems, science can never arrive at an Absolute Truth about the physical world. In short, the Scientific Method is inherently flawed by its own materialism and relativity, neither of which can be overcome by its methodology, because the shortcomings are inherent in the Method! The best that science can do is to provide a general, but necessarily incomplete, Theory of Perceptual Relativity, a summary of perceptions and relationships of matter and energy. In order to overcome this inherent relativistic limitation, the scientist must make a Quantum Leap into the Field of Consciousness. Consciousness, as a force or field effect, is always ignored by science. It is like a religion that ignores God.

(Ironically, the fact is that most religions ALSO ignore God, because they have substituted rituals and dogma in the place of His Laws! They pay lip service to God but spend very little time trying find God within themselves! The various priesthoods are always competing with each other for converts to their own dogma, and the God of Consciousness, the God within, is easily forgotten, even by the devoutly religious.)

Since any experiment always affects the object under observation, no experiment can be completely objective. The strict philosophical implication of this fact is that we can never tell by the scientific method the way things really are. We can only get the scientific point of view, which, wholistically speaking, can never explain all phenomena. Any mathematical formulation can never be more than an approximation of the relationships among external objects; but such knowledge does not exist independently of the relationship between Mind and Matter. Knowledge of the external world cannot overcome its own relativity.
