Dear God

How powerful You are! We get just a glimpse of it watching a storm. You are the creator of everything including storms.

God, I know You do not send storms to punish. Storms are a part of Your creation, just as the sun rises and sets, just as the rain falls and plants grow. Storms are part of the scheme of things.

I pray for us – who are also part of the creation. I pray that You will keep us safe in all the storms. I pray we will learn how to live among the great storms that fall on this earth.

Help us to understand and not fear storms. For we know You are with us.

We glorify You because of Your awesome power and great love.

Thank You for being my God and my Father.

In Your Son’s Name, I pray.
