It didn’t have a signature. But surely Jesus wrote it. Who else even knew I was here?

I hadn’t really given any thought to going back home. But I couldn’t pop around the first century forever. This note indicated I’d be going back, maybe fairly soon. Maybe that was why Jesus wanted me to consider my plans for spiritual growth.

I looked once again at the instructions. I picked up the parchment and the pen and inkwell, almost spilling it in the process, and transferred them to the large table. Its top was only a couple of feet off the ground. I reclined. How did people do this every day? It was so uncomfortable—especially for writing. I sat up straight, crossed my legs, and dipped the pen in the ink.

So, what did I need to do when I got back home?

My mind riffled through the usual list of spiritual to-dos. I’d done some of them pretty well and pretty consistently a few years back. During my time with Jason, I had kind of slacked off, but I could get back in the swing of things. I started jotting down some ideas.
