Chapter 9
âYou still think those bitches are your friends?â My sister couldnât wait long enough for the door to close behind her before she started her bitching. âI canât believe she turned you in.â
âCamille how kind of you to visit.â Iâd been expecting her since I was taken from the Dark, my magic bound, and tossed in the holding cell.
Tana had, as Camille put it, turned me in. I told myself it was because her future husband was there. She was one of my closest friends. She loved me and wouldnât do this unless they forced her hand. Yeah, I told myself that even though I had a nagging feeling deep inside of my gut that told me she would have called the authorities, regardless. She was a Light, and at the end of the day, friend or no friend, they always did what they felt was right. Allowing me to fuck one of their most eligible men was not the proper thing to do.
âI told you to keep the pussy power on lockdown.â Camille sat in the chair across from mine. âNow look at you, theyâve blocked your magic and locked you away.â
âWhy are you here?â
âI thought youâd want to know that your partner in crime is also in lock up. Though with him being a man of the Light and from what I hear, a hot commodity in the procreation department, heâll get out long before you do.â
âDo you come with any information pertinent to my status?â It was hard enough trying not to think about Horacio as it was. My focus had to be on my shit.
âWell, youâve never had an issue before. Odds are youâll get a slap on the wrist for it. Theyâll also revoke your access to the Light.â
âRevoke my access?â The knot in my stomach tightened as I processed what that meant. I would never see him again.
âYeah, well they canât allow for you to go over there dirtying up the good men with your dark pussy.â
âCould you please stop using that word?â
âPussy? Why? Itâs such a grand word.â She winked and blew a kiss to the guard who watched us through the window of the door.
âSometimes I wish youâd never gone to that forsaken planet.â Taking Camille to Earth had introduced her to new and disgusting ways to be Dark. Since we began our excursions, sheâd picked up all the stereotypical bad girl traits she could find.
âI bet youâre wishing that you never did either. Then your pussy wouldnât have gotten you into this shit.â
âGo away.â
âWhy would you want me to go away?â
âBecause I have more important things to worry about right now.â
âLike this hideous attire?â She pointed at the bland gray pants and shirt that covered my body like an oversized pillow case. âItâs not very flattering.â
âYeah, thatâs my biggest worry. Poor wardrobe options.â
âLook, shit aside, I hope that this turns out okay for you.â In an uncharacteristic move, Camille pulled me into a hug. âI donât want my sister to go to the Haze.
