According to prosecution documents, Martin Astrof, 75, approached a volunteer at Rep. Lee Zeldin's campaign office in Suffolk County, New York, on July 6, 2018, and "state[d] he was going to kill supporters of U.S.Lee Zeldin, a congressman, and Donald Trump, the president Astrof acknowledged to reckless endangerment after being detained.He received a probationary period of one year.

August 2018:

The Boston Globe received more than a dozen threatening phone calls after urging news organizations around the nation to oppose what it called "Trump's assault on journalism." On August 22, a Boston Globe employee allegedly received a call from 68-year-old Robert Chain of Encino, California, who described himself as "the enemy of the people." I'll keep threatening, bothering, and annoying the Boston Globe as long as you keep criticizing the legitimately elected President of the United States. Authorities detained Chain on suspicion of making threats a week later. He told reporters following a hearing in his case that "Donald J. Trump's election as president rescued America." Chain is awaiting sentencing after entering a guilty plea to seven crimes involving threats.
