1 pound grassfed ground beef

2 teaspoons minced garlic

1 tablespoon Beef Spice Rub (here)

2 cups shredded or chopped romaine lettuce

½ cup chopped dill pickles or sliced cornichons

¼ cup halved cherry tomatoes

¼ cup sliced red onions

½ cup shredded or cubed cheddar cheese (optional; omit for dairy-free)

1 cup Secret Burger Sauce (here; for egg-free, make the sauce with egg-free mayo)

1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and no longer pink, stirring often to crumble the meat. Stir in the garlic and spice rub and remove from the heat.

2. Assemble the bowls: Place ½ cup of lettuce in each of four serving bowls. Top with equal portions of the pickles, tomatoes, red onions, and cheese, if using. Add equal portions of the ground beef mixture and sauce to each bowl and toss well. Serve immediately.
