How to Communicate During Natural Disasters?

1. If you are able to get through the other side of the line, keep your phone calls brief and to the point. This will decrease the traffic on the network and also save your mobile phone battery.

2. If you can communicate with texting, try to do that instead of placing calls. Text messages can be queued up and use fewer resources than a voice call, allowing life-threating calls to get through.

3. If you can connect through one device, try experimenting with other communication devices to find out which mode of the communication is most suitable at such times.

4. If you are placing a call while you are in a vehicle, do not call if the vehicle is moving.

5. Try to stay updated of what’s happening around so that you do not get stuck in another unfortunate situation.

6. If you are unable to charge your phone through electricity, use a vehicle to charge it. You never know when the network might start working.
