In a Dream

In a dream I write a poem and just before I wake up I have already lost the first lines.

When I wake up I only have the title left, but in the dream I was already sure that I needed to find a better one.

The night before I saw in a dream how something could be better and began rewriting page after page.

I hardly read what I had written and filled all the empty space.

My children are hungry, my wife has no clothes, I fall asleep in the middle of a forest and dream about the office.

This is not my dream, this is someone else’s dream, don’t tell it to others before it’s come true.

Before I go to sleep I am afraid of losing something, I don’t know what, but in my sleep I lose everything I can see and I am not afraid.

In a dream I write a poem, in a later dream, someone asks me for a poem and I give them the poem from the first dream.

As I say this, I think I am remembering it incorrectly, in the second dream someone said that the poem from the first dream was the poem they needed and they recited it from memory.

A dream I had more than once as a child, that everything I saw stuck together and came toward me, which didn’t frighten me.
