Kyler is pinning me with a hopeful smile and a heated stare. He really is coming on to me. I'm not imagining it or dreaming it up.

This is not a drill. It's really happening.

I thought I'd won the lottery sharing a bed with him last night. The great day we had today was the icing on the cake. And now this?

His gaze drops to my lap again. There is no way I can move or adjust to hide the steel rod pressing achingly against the zipper of my pants and there is no way I'll ever be able to erase what I've just seen.

I've been hard, thrumming with desire ever since I took in that first image of Kyler on his knees, worshiping my cock. Talk about seeing a fantasy come to life.

But that's all it is. A fantasy.

That's all it can ever be.

I may have inadvertently stumbled down an X-rated rabbit hole, and yes, Kyler is currently staring at my erection, but I am still his boss. There's an inherent power imbalance between us. I can't exploit the situation and take this any further.

He smiles, but only a little, as if sensing where this is going.

"Please don't say but," he ekes out, so quietly I barely manage to hear it over the rain.

He's looking at me so earnestly, so hopefully, it makes my chest constrict. I'd love nothing more than to throw caution to the wind and have one wild, passionate night with him.

"But we can't do anything." My voice is tight, scratchy. "We just…can't."

He drops his head, crestfallen, and I'm kicking myself for denying us something we both want.

I toy with what to say next…

An idea pops into my mind.

On the one hand, it doesn't help us reestablish proper professional boundaries, but on the other hand…fuck it. I've already shown enough restraint for one night. Never said I was a saint.

I'm allowed this one thing. Besides, it's as much for Kyler's benefit as it is for mine.

"I'd still like to be your cuddle buddy. If you still want me to be, that is."

He turns to the left, swaying slightly in his seat. "Yeah," he says without looking at me. "I'd actually really like that."

We get ready for bed in silence.

When I finish up in the bathroom, Kyler's already on his side of the bed, facing away from the middle. I flick off all the lamps as I make my way over, then lift the top sheet and hop in. "You're still comfortable with this?" I check before turning off the bedside light.

"Yes. Please."

"Okay."

I flick the switch, and the room goes black, making the battering rain and howling wind seem louder.
