Week 7
Yes ~ No ~ Maybe
âI realized for the first time that childlessness can be about many things.
It is about biological limitations. It is about ambivalence.
Sometimes childlessness is just about wanting something else in life.
And sometimes childlessness is a combination of all these things.â
âMardy S. Ireland7
Not everyone can sustain the intention and commitment to do these exercises week after week⦠but you have! Pause long enough to feel your perseverance, because, in truth, youâre moving forward despite any fear, pain, or uncertainty.
You might feel that since youâve completed half the program, you should be halfway to your decision. If you notice this kind of self-expectation, allow yourself to breathe into the knowledge that this process is not a linear one. Continue to open up in order to receive more information in the weeks to come. Thereâs still so much to discover. Even as you begin to have more and more clarity, gently move back into I donât know as best you can. Youâve nothing to lose by staying with I donât know a bit longer.
You spent the last two weeks focusing on parents. Last week was packed full, and you now have a good idea of what needs tending. Full healing might not have happened yet, but just having a picture of what is yet to be resolved can feel liberating. If you still feel a bit unsure about all of this, donât despair; it will become clearer as you continue to progress with the program.
