The mini metropolis of Nicoya is the commercial center of the inlands. Set in the northern half of the peninsula, the city provides services to much of the region and is a gateway to coastal destinations.
Apart from the small Iglesia San Blas (San Blas Church, corner of Calle 1 and Avenida Justo Flores), with its colonial architecture, Nicoya is void of notable attractions. Fill up on gas, find a bathroom, or grab snacks in town as you make your way to other destinations.
