The query operations consist of the following four types:

Find: to highlight a selected record.

Extract: to copy a selected record to another area of the worksheet.

Unique: to extract records without duplication.

Delete: to erase selected records and close up the empty space.

In addition to the management facilities, there are a number of statistical functions available to carry out numerical analyses on the contents of the database.

Particularly useful commands are the following:

DATA TABLE which facilitates sensitivity analysis by tabulating the effects of changes envisaged;

DATA DISTRIBUTION which produces frequency distributions for a large group of numbers;

DATA FILL which puts a sequence of numbers into a range of cells, using start, step and stop values.
