I storm around our apartment, my tail whipping behind me, my wings fluttering with anger. Who the fuck did that woman think she was? She hit me? Threatened my cock?

He smirks. “I’m just saying. The game’s all fun and shit until it happens to someone you care about.”

I think of someone playing this game with one of my sisters and collapse onto the barstool by the counter. “I... I can never play Boob Watch again, can I?”

The asshole chuckles. “Not unless you want to see your poor sisters’ faces every time you do it.”

Despite myself, I think of my sisters again. Am I an asshole? The women always laugh. They always seemed to think it was funny... before her. But is it?

Damon laughs again. “You’re growing up, man. You’re learning empathy.”

“I’m learning I need new friends,” I grumble

But even though I’ve already had the sickening realization that if a guy every played Boob Watch with my sisters, I’d literally tears him to pieces... I’d rip his damned head from his neck, I’m still annoyed. Today was supposed to be fun. I was looking forward to it for weeks.

“I’m going to make her life hell.”

Damon smirks. “I’m pretty sure she’s going to make your life hell.”

“And why do you say that?” I demand.

“Because she’s not going to sleep with you, and you’ve never had any woman turn you down before.”

He lifts a brow but never looks up from his book. “Oh, really?”

“Yeah,” he says, oddly confidently. “I’m going to go after what I want this year... and what I want is her.”

For some reason, his words bug me. I don’t like the woman. Hell, I can’t stand her. But I also don’t like the idea of her with anyone else.

Suddenly, the door to our apartment opens.
