CHAPTER SEVEN: ALL WE NEED ARE VACCINES

A popular meme making the rounds on social media in early 2021 stated, “The vaccine was not created to save us from a pandemic. The pandemic was created to get us to take the vaccine.” I shared this brilliant meme on Facebook, and it received much attention, but the meme itself was quickly taken down, with the message that it was “unavailable.”

In April, 2020, a small group of scientists and their billionaire backers, led by young physician-turned-venture capitalist Thomas Cahill (is that a common career transition?) teamed up in a supposed crusade to combat the coronavirus. One of the billionaires was ex-felon Michael Milken, who was notoriously convicted of financial securities fraud. He served only two years due to a plea bargain, and would be pardoned by President Trump in 2020. The group’s work was actually referred to as a “Manhattan Project” for COVID-19. A document from the group laid out their plans, which included vaccines, and advocated that any reopening of society be dependent upon “science-driven” methodology and protective masks.486 In January, 2023, documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act by former Big Pharma executive Sasha Latypova revealed that Donald Trump’s March 13, 2020 Public Emergency Order had placed the National Security Council in charge of COVID-19 policy. According to Latypova, vaccines were considered “medical countermeasures” to what the government considered “an act of war.” In a related vein, Paula Jardine detailed, in a January 13, 2023 article on Substack, how the COVID-19 vaccine program was part of a Manhattan Project for biodefense, which dated back nearly twenty years, to the administration of George W. Bush. Jardine related how former Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister of England Dominic Cummings had told Parliament in June, 2021, when asked about the UK COVID Vaccine Task Force, “Bill Gates and people like that said to me and others at No 10 was, ‘You need to think of this much more like some of the classic programmes of the past – the Manhattan Project in World War Two or the Apollo programme – and build it all in parallel. In normal Government accounting terms, that is completely crazy, because if nothing works out you have spent literally billions building all these things up, and the end result is nothing – you get zero for it, it’s all waste.’” Jardine continued, “On July 11, 2019, a think tank called the Biodefence Commission held a panel discussion entitled A Manhattan Project for Biodefence: Taking Biological Threats off the Table. The objective was to ‘create a national, public-private research and development undertaking to defend the United States against biological threats.’ Dr Robert Kadlec, the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) in the US Department of Health and Human Services (HSS) was a panelist. During the discussion Kadlec said, ‘It’s time to say “Go big, or go home” on this issue.
