I can’t believe I ever thought the naked Adonis sleeping next to me in my bed was boring. This sex god has proven himself to be a creative, attentive, and talented lover––over and over again.

It’s the morning after our first date. We spent the entire night making love, snoozing, and then ravaging each other again. I’ve lost track of how many mind-blowing orgasms he’s given me, but it has to be in the double digits. He’s absolutely insatiable. My body is exhausted, but in an incredible, satisfied way.

He’s still asleep, but his morning wood proves that he could go again, if I was up for it. It’s tempting to straddle him and go for another wild, bucking ride, but I need to be able to walk today. My alarm will go off soon, and then I’ll have a hectic day at work with no time to daydream about the many ways Aidan will pleasure me later.

His alarm goes off ten minutes before mine is scheduled to, and he hops out of bed like the Energizer Bunny. I’m more of a ‘hit the snooze button until I’ll be late if a traffic light is red’ kind of gal, so his whistling on his way to the bathroom is a bit jarring.

I consider joining him in a steamy shower, despite the fact that my aching body is worn out, but the water turns off before I’m able to rouse the energy to stand.

Just as I manage to sit up, feeling rumpled and bleary-eyed, he emerges from the bathroom looking fresh and ready for the day, even though his face is a bit scruffy and he’s wearing last night’s suit. Somehow, the walk of shame is never quite the same for a man.

He leans down to give me a swift kiss on the cheek. I clamp my lips closed, so he won’t get a whiff of my morning breath.

Looking deeply into my eyes, he says, “Last night was amazing.”

I’m ready to agree, but before I can respond, he breezes out of my room. My morning haze makes it difficult to comprehend that he is already up and gone. I haven’t even managed to make my way out of bed yet.

My morning shower is more enjoyable than normal because I can still sense Aidan’s presence in the small space. I imagine him lathering up and water sluicing down his chiseled body in this very spot. It’s a bummer that I didn’t get to see it live and in person.

After quietly vowing to make sure to get up in time to join him the next time he showers here, I emerge from the tub and dry off. As I stare at my reflection in the mirror, my insecurities begin to set in.

There will be another time, right? His abrupt departure didn’t fill me with confidence that he wants to see me again. In fact, he didn’t say anything about another date.

Deciding that I’ll make sure he wants to go out with me again, I lower the towel that’s wrapped around me and pick up my cell phone.
