The best tip I ever received for creating a dynamic quilt was to make sure it had a focal point. Good advice, indeed!

FINISHED QUILT: 45½" x 45½"

FINISHED BLOCK: 5" x 5"

DESIGN NOTES: Eighty-one Half-Square-Triangle blocks join to create an asymmetrical quilt that looks as if it’s been cropped from a larger design. The spiral quilting draws the eye across the quilt, adding just the right amount of texture to the piece.

FABRIC: Modern Neutrals by Amy Ellis, and Bella Solids, both from Moda

BATTING: Pellon Legacy Soy Blend, 50% cotton/50% soy, natural

QUILTING THREAD: Aurifil 40-weight cotton in Aluminium
