Galax

276 / POP 6780

Galax claims to be the world capital of mountain music, although it feels like anywhere-else-ville outside of the immediate downtown area, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. The town is an important stop on the 250-mile-long Crooked Road music trail, and is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
