Living Standards

Living standards of benefit claimants can be measured by spending patterns, material circumstances such as housing conditions and access to assets. Evidence in this study shows that incomes from social security benefits are so low that most lone mothers have to spend very carefully and some of them did not afford to buy good food or even have enough on food.
