One of the first orders of business once the new London Country got under way was to continue modernising the Green Line network with increased OMO. Ninety Plaxton-bodied AEC Reliances were ordered, arriving in the first quarter of 1972 as the RP class. RP 32 was later allocated to Staines and is seen at Uxbridge on 29 July 1973.

MBs 81-113 were new as green Country Area buses and passed to London Country. They were dual-door conventional OMO buses but with the much-disliked low driving position. MB 98 spent most of its career at High Wycombe, and is seen in Beaconsfield on 10 February 1971, bearing not just the new fleetname but the new ‘flying Polo’ logo of the first months of London Country.
