A parabola is a curve whose two sides are mirror images of each other. You can create parabolic curves with a 3D op art quality by using nothing but straight lines!

For this project, you’ll first develop a design that you’ll use as the base of your finished work of art. In order to create your masterpiece, plan to work on it in more than one sitting. Your patience will be rewarded.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

6 to 8 sheets of 11" × 17" (28 × 43 cm) grid paper

Pencil, pencil sharpener, and eraser (optional)
