We picked up some breakfast from the kitchenâegg muffins and two mugs of coffeeâbefore continuing our conversation in my room.
Jack didn't seem eager to leave, and I didn't want him to go yet either. We sat on my bed and ate our meal. After a cup of coffee, I felt awake and energized.
"I'll return the used plates and mugs back to the kitchen," Jack offered.
I let him, as I had plenty on my mind. Once he left, I started pacing the room, feeling a little restless.
After unloading my past on Jack, it felt like the burden that had been weighing down on my chest for decades had finally disappeared.
Still, I couldn't help but wonder what Jack thought of me. I had told him about all the foul deeds I had committed to avenge my brother.
Did Jack think I was a monster? Ending my father, his men, and Gabrielâthat was just the beginning.
I had taken more lives since then, whether it was on the orders of the MC or by my own personal choice.
Being with Jack felt like a dream I never wanted to wake up from, but he certainly deserved someone better.
The door's hinges creaked open. Jack entered the room with quiet footsteps. I pretended not to notice his arrival.
Jack approached me from behind and wrapped his arms around my waist. He buried his face between my shoulder blades, and I relaxed.
During moments like these, the animal and savage part of me felt whole and complete.
"What's on your mind, Len?" I leaned back against Jack's embrace, finding solace in his touch.
"Now you know everything about me, I wonder what's going on in your mind," I confessed.
Jack rested his chin on my shoulder.
"Are you wondering if I'm silently judging you for what you did in the past? I'm not. You were just a teenager back then, Lenny. A scared kid who only wanted justice for his brother,â Jack said.
I turned around and studied Jack's face. He always reminded me of an open book. He was easy to read simply because he didn't possess any deceit in his body.
"Sometimes, I wonder if you're too good for me," I murmured.
"Hey, don't forget. We're in this together. You don't have to face anything alone, least of all your inner demons."
Jack smiled, and that one gesture lit up his entire face.
I placed my hand on his cheek, thumbing the skin there. Then I moved my fingers to his nape and kissed him.
I pulled him into another embrace, and this time, I didn't hold back.
Jack and I ended up tumbling on my bed, with Jack underneath me. I rested my arms on either side of his head, being careful not to put too much weight on him.
Part of me wondered if we were moving too fast, but Jack only gripped a handful of my shirt and kissed me again.
Gripping his wrists above his head, I passionately kissed his mouth again, reveling in the way our bodies rubbed against each other.
Jack parted his mouth, granting me access to slide my tongue down his throat.
