Watching the interview I wasn't even mad this nigga is a pussy and can't even roll in my league. I got out the car and went to talk to Jay. I was ready to go kill Onika’s ass.

Chapter Seventeen

Onika

I woke up this morning feeling refreshed. I didn't have to take anyone to school, cook, or anything. It was all about me for once. I was ready for the weekend though; so, I could sleep in all day. I got up and went to handle my hygiene. After doing that I put on a pink sun dress and some sandals. I put my hair in a messy bun. I grabbed my purse and phone and went to see if Unique was up. Walking in her room I saw she was still sleep, so, I kissed her and left a note for her. I left out the room and downstairs then walked out the house. While I was getting in the car Liah was calling me. She told me what Messiah said, and I put his ass in his place so he got mad and said Maliah wasn't mine. I'm going to show his that she's not mine. I pulled out my phone and called for reinforcing for what I had in mind.

"Ma." I said when I heard her answer.

"Onika you have some nerve calling me after the stunt you pulled last night. All of y’all are going to give me a stroke.” she shouted and I felt bad.

“Ma, I'm sorry for pulling the gun out on Rich. I should have never disrespected your house. I will not apologizing for beating on him because he violated my sister in the worst way.” I said honestly and Mama Maxie could take it how she wanted to.

“I’m not saying you couldn’t defend her. But Onika, you attacked him after I sat y’all down trying to defuse the situation. I understand totally, Rich said some disrespectful things to you and Unique but come on Onika. I don’t want you carrying on like that because at the end of the day you are playing a mother role now.” she vented sounding more concerned than pissed.

“I understand ma, and I am sorry for getting out of hand.” I apologized sighing.

“I accept your apology. I’m sorry for slapping you, but the look in your eyes wasn’t you at all.” she admitted, and I just laughed because I didn’t even know where all that strength came from myself.

“You’re fine ma. I know you were looking out for me in the end.” I told her nodding like she could see. I was glad last night ended differently because I could be in jail or worse.

“Sure was. I didn’t want to see you in jail over my son.
