I think she was partially concerned about that too, for fear that she’d believe her own press. She never wanted to buy into that.

Why didn’t Kathryn want to be described as a faith healer? Because she knew herself. She, Kathryn Kuhlman, was not God. She knew she could not heal herself. She couldn’t heal her friend. She couldn’t heal anybody; only God could. In yielded simplicity, she was able to walk in that total yieldedness.

Apart from the indwelling presence of Jesus, you can do nothing. This is why Kathryn Kuhlman so staunchly rejected the label of being called a “faith healer.” The problem with that description is not necessarily the “faith” part—it’s a human being considered a healer. There is one Healer and His Name is Jesus. Kathryn knew herself and she knew her God, and she never got the two confused. She lived mindful of her shortcomings—one of the greatest was her inability to bring healing to anyone. Jesus was the Healer. The power of the Holy Spirit, released in Jesus’ Name, was what released healing. Allow this same wonderful Holy Spirit to flow through you! Remember, it’s Jesus in you. Live mindful of this truth, just as Kathryn did, and I believe that is one of the ultimate keys to walking in miracles.
