Chapter Five

If this guy wasn't a dead ringer for Trendon or Todd—or whatever those guys were calling themselves—I wasn't sure who was. Scary eyes, deadly, and identical to the other one—or two—others. Hell, who knew?

Marco looked at me and mouthed, "Bocephus," then promptly fell to the floor.

Fucking great! I'd managed to shove those pills they'd been pushing at us into my pockets. I assumed Marco had done the same. It wouldn't have been hard to have ingested some of it. Or it could have been the drink. Whatever it was, my sweetheart looked down for the count.

Nicholas's gaze flew to Marco's body, which lay in a heap at my feet, and we both sucked in some breath at exactly the same time.

Bocephus moved closer with his weird, little box. I hoped to hell Marco was all right. I was frantic to see to Marco, but I had to be careful. I could blow the entire thing. And it looked like this Bocephus wasn't wasting any time reenacting some x-rated version of the Texas Chainsaw shit.

I pretended to be dizzy and moved away from the machine, sitting down on the sofa where I covered part of my face, shielding my nose and mouth. "Whoa," I mumbled through my hands, "I guess I drank way too much."

Bocephus glanced at Marco. "Him too." He looked at me. "For cops, you're not exactly what I'd call tough guys. Real sissy boys, if you ask me."

I didn't much care for that. Nicholas began to laugh a crazy laugh and stumbled across to me. "I wanna party. So, bring it on!"

I looked over at Marco and saw his leg move. That brought me some relief but from the shape he was in, it did look like Nicholas and I were on our own.

"Can't party with all your clothes on, boys," the man said. "Come on, strip 'em off."

And here we go, I thought. Bloody perverted son of a bitch. Some of the girls went over to Marco and sat him up. He had a goofy look on his face. "Hello… ladies," he slurred then his head slumped forward.

Nicholas met my gaze. Nope. Didn't look like there was any fakin' there. Marco was really out of it. They began to pull off his shirt and he was like a limp doll.

"Come on." Bocephus came closer, blocking my view. He pushed his knee between my legs. "You're one gorgeous son of a bitch. I wanna see the crown jewels."

Nicholas was singing now, acting really high. I continued to act confused. "I… well… are you looking for… I mean, I'm all about the ladies. I'm not into guys or anything like that."

"Ever been butt fucked?" He put the box down and grabbed the front of my shirt.

I didn't answer. He would have been surprised. Even more surprised to find out that he wasn't getting any, unless it was from some three hundred pound sex addict in a prison cell.

He ripped open my shirt.

The girls were on Nicholas, having given up on Marco.
