I received the following email on November 19, 2010, from a woman who has identified herself as Rosa Monti. I am tempted to state that Mrs. Monti’s account speaks for itself. At the same time, a few comments are in order.

As this account shows, in the incident recorded, the writer was plainly upset, as was one of her daughters, so the scene is charged with high emotion. Do emotions let loose supernatural powers? Are we especially accessible to the energies of ghosts and the powers of spirits when emotions run high? This account would suggest that this explanation is so.

Curious about the “ghost whisperer,” I emailed Mrs. Monti to request more details. Her reply has been worked into the present account. “I think it is important for us to share our experiences with the other side. I was a doubting Thomas, but now I have no choice ... I have to believe the unbelievable. When I think back to all that has happened in my life, and my brushing them away with false LOGIC, I feel sorry for the entities who were trying to break through. I now welcome them with an open heart.”
