Okay, dreamiest guy ever, with manners for bonus points. Most guys won’t open a door even if it’s a first date. I like to be treated as an equal, but I still like to be treated like a lady. Like, I can take care of myself, but life is better if there’s a broad chest to rest my chin on if I’m having a bad day, you know what I mean? And Jake fits the profile. Oh man, does he ever.

I don’t need him to smell better than dinner. But damn if the notes of pine and tangerine don’t float on by my nose every time he moves. I secretly inhale deeper when this happens and my lady bits tingle in anticipation.

My brain is saying don’t have any expectations, but my body is eagerly lusting for what could only be a sexual awakening of epic proportions given his size.

I love a tall man and he fits the bill with room to spare.

I think Jake prefers the simplicity of beer over fine wine, but he doesn’t bat an eye when he orders my favorite bottle of Pinot Grigio for dinner.

Jake is dressed in a dark blue suit that screams success with a mint green long sleeved shirt under it. His tie resembles a Pollock painting with tiny circles and abstract lines all over it in a beachy pastel palette. I wouldn’t have thought to put the combination together, but he knocks it out of the park.

He mainly talks about his friends or hockey and not much about himself but I can tell he’s smart and I know he’ll go places. Judging from his car and family money, he’ll have no issues paying his bills and I find his quest to make safer pesticides admirable.

I can’t believe we pulled the fake girlfriend thing on Jen, and in a way I feel badly for her. I mean, what girl hasn’t loved a guy that didn’t love her back? It’s tough to see a woman miserable after a breakup, but this Jen person isn’t adding up. What’s her end game with Jake and why is she acting so immature?

I toss this out the window because I have better things to think about right now. Jake takes his jacket off and sits beside me on the couch and I find myself staring into his eyes, two dark pools that scream sex appeal. This is that dreaded awkward part of a date, that’s not a date, and now I’m a girlfriend, that’s not a girlfriend.

This sucks. Because every time I smell him, all the scents from his aftershave to his body’s chemistry make beads of sweat roll down my neck. Dammit. I’ve not been around that much but some of my best orgasms happen after those tiny droplets break out into a happy dance.

I’m doomed if I entertain any thoughts of anything more, I mean, he’s got the worst track record with women and I don’t need any distractions. Plus, there’s that bet with Sarah and I only have a few days left.
