Dream For More

It’d been a long few days since Kennedy had seen Logan. They’d talked a few times, text messages more than anything. One phone call last night for about ten minutes, but other than that, not much.

He said he’d been sightseeing and checking the area out. She wasn’t sure what that meant and wanted to ask. Then she figured he’d share with her if he wanted her to know.

It could just be nothing more than him relaxing like he said he was here to do.

She was finishing up with her last client, glancing at the clock, talking like she normally did, but wishing for time to fly so she could see Logan again.

When had she ever wanted to see a man as badly as she did Logan? Not ever that she could remember.

Maybe that was part of the reason her relationships didn’t last long. She didn’t commit enough emotionally let alone physically in their presence.

She always thought she did. Guess she thought wrong.

Yet she and Logan weren’t in a relationship. At least not really.

He was here temporarily visiting. They were spending time together while he recovered.

“All set?” she said to Nicole, her client.

“I am. That was wonderful. I could fall right to sleep if I had a bed in front of me.”

“That is what vacation is all about. Go have a glass a wine, sit back and enjoy your time here,” Kennedy said. “Do you have any special plans for the rest of your trip?”

“Not really,” Nicole said, pulling her credit card out of her purse and handing it over. “Add another thirty for the tip.”

“Thank you,” Kennedy said, sticking the card in the machine. Thirty percent tips were always appreciated and what she loved so much about the vacationers. They tended to be very generous.

“There are spa services at the resort where we are staying, but I couldn’t get over how much more expensive they were. I guess it was the atmosphere felt off for me more than anything there.”

Kennedy knew that her prices were lower and for that reason. The resort and spa offered a lot more than her, but they catered toward business retreats, honeymoons, higher end vacationers. Keeping her prices a little lower kept her full nonstop and made her more competitive.

“Lake Placid has something for everyone and every taste here. I guess you could say I
