This dynamic super group was a major part of my childhood shaped my becoming an adult. My friends and I and most of the world idolized them. They ← 121 | 122 → could sing, dance, the ladies loved them, and they were rich. Of course, we can go on ad nauseam about the mega star of the group, Michael Jackson, but the Jackson Five, eventually the Jacksons, are a part of the youthful memories of many. Although the members don’t talk much about their religion or spirituality in their interviews, I found it very interesting that during their early years, and I think it is still the case for some of them, the Jackson family were practicing Jehovah’s Witnesses. While it’s not the aim of this book dissect any religious practice, Christmas is not a holiday celebrated in this organization. Nevertheless, the Jackson 5 produced several Christmas songs, and several are memorable hits that are a permanent part of the holiday season and the ABC. Shopping malls and department stores play their recording continuously for customers.
